With a career spanning four decades in cybersecurity, network operations, and telecommunications, I have dedicated my professional life to safeguarding information and advancing the field of cybersecurity. As Chief Information Security Officer at Casey’s, I lead a dynamic team committed to protecting our organization’s IT infrastructure and aligning our security strategies with the company’s long-term goals. My journey, which began at the US Air Force Academy and continued through a distinguished 27-year career in the Air Force, has been driven by a passion for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in cybersecurity. To that end, I have encouraged my team’s active participation in RH-ISAC groups and events and leveraging platforms like MISP as well as taking on roles in key working groups such as Security Operations, Incident Response, Identity & Access Management, and Vulnerability Management. As an RH-ISAC board member, I would prioritize engagement, timely information sharing, and diversity of perspectives to strengthen the cybersecurity community. I also serve on the Executive Advisory Board of Tenable, was a member of the Louisiana Tech University Industry Advisory Board, and chaired the AFCEA Education Committee, supporting cybersecurity education through scholarships and awards. I pride myself on a leadership style marked by an ongoing commitment to professional development and industry advancement.
