Michelle Reed co-leads Akin Gump’s Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Protection practice, advising clients on data breach investigations, notifications, and subsequent class action and multi-district litigation. Ms. Reed assists clients in a wide variety of industries—from retail, health, financial services, energy, and others—with conducting comprehensive privacy and security risk assessments and developing policies and procedures to mitigate and remediate cybersecurity and privacy threats.  A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US, International Association of Privacy Professionals), Ms. Reed counsels corporations in security incident response, privacy and data protection compliance, third-party vendor due diligence, and cyber insurance.
