Marc Varner joined Lowe’s in October 2022, as vice president and chief information security officer. In this role, Marc is responsible for the global security strategy and program, ensuring all Lowe’s information assets and technologies are properly protected. He collaborates closely with senior technology and business leaders to implement best security practices, to protect and serve our customers and overall business.

Marc joined Lowe’s from Yum! Brands, where he most recently served as the vice president and global chief information security officer. He previously served in a similar role with McDonald’s. Marc has more than 25 years of experience and comes to Lowe’s with deep knowledge of information security, including technical security architecture, program development, data asset management, and risk and compliance.
