Joe Nocera is PwC’s Cyber and Tech Risk Solution leader, and a consulting solutions partner in the Chicago office. He has over 26 years of experience focusing on cybersecurity, IT risk and large scale systems implementation. Joe has helped many organizations meet their regulatory requirements and build information security departments, information risk management and overall IT governance functions. He has been involved in CyberCrime investigations and the implementation of various technology security solutions.
As the Cyber and Tech Risk Solution leader, Joe spearheads the business development and solution activation efforts on cybersecurity for the US Cyber, Risk and Regulatory practice. He is passionate about understanding the technical challenges of cybersecurity and translating these into practical business solutions that are achievable in a corporate culture. He was responsible for launching the Cyber & Privacy Innovation Institute – a unique program that delivers the latest perspectives, analysis and trends on cybersecurity and privacy by working with an exclusive network of organizations, universities, analysts, and industry associations.
Joe graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in Management Information Systems, and is also responsible for leading PwC’s campus recruitment efforts. He is a frequent speaker at conferences such as Blackhat, LOMA, CA World and other leading industry events. He has been quoted in a number of publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Forbes, PCWorld, SC Magazine, and Wall Street & Technology.
